A ready-to-go mini mushroom farm. These bags consist of mix of organic substrates including sawdust, straw and grain which has been colonised with pink oyster mushroom culture (Pleurotus djamor) and they're a great way to grow a good few crops of mushrooms at home with ease. Pink oyster mushrooms originally come from Southeast Asia and as such, they prefer to grow in the warmer seasons where daytime temperatures are 16°C or higher. Kits need to be taken out of their box and 'activated' within two weeks of receiving them (keep in box in a cool place until ready to use).

Pink oyster mushrooms have a milder flavour than native phoenix oyster mushrooms, with a thinner and less 'succulent' cap. They're often pan fried until slightly crispy which produces a vegan 'bacon'-like result that can be used as a substitute for bacon in any dish, as well as being suitable to many other culinary applications.

All you need is a warm, sheltered but airy spot to put them and to give them a bit of moisture now and then, by spraying the humidity veil (included) with water every day or two. The mushroom bag will grow in a wide variety of environments, indoors or outdoors (during summer). These mushrooms fruit best at 18-28°C. Common spots to place it include a laundry room, garden shed, garage, under a deck, or simply under the shade of a bush / tree in your back yard.

You can expect a crop within a couple of weeks of recieving the bag. And a couple more crops spaced a couple of weeks apart after the harvest of the first crop. These bags generally yield well over 1kg of mushrooms in total.
